Suggest a LCD for my custom HTPC build
#1
Hi there,

I'm building a custom PC in a Harman Kardon DVD 5 player and I've come that far that I am thinking about a LCD display for my build.

I'm quite lost on this front, what LCD that is XBMC/OpenELEC/Linux supported would you recommend for my build?

Some pics and other stuff about the build:

I have used these guys: http://lcdmodkit.com/. Not sure on OpenELEC compatibility since mine was for Windows. It used LCDSmartie.

Thanks for the reply!

Does anybody have any experience from these:

Obviously it needs quite much modifications for my use but it would come with IR, the buttons (if they work, need to be remapped)

Merry Christmas!

Ok, I although very poor Linux support I decided to go for the iMon UltraBay. I'll post updates later :-)

Hey, I got one of those imon ultrabay guys. Got it pretty cheap a few years back. Did not like it. It's collecting dust right now. Granted that's mostly because the HTPC it was apart of has died. I used it under Windows, so maybe it will be a better experience under linux.
