Even though that PSU has a rebate, I'd still go for this one instead: http://www.amazon.com/FSP-Certified-300-...004VF4R4U/ . Otherwise, looks great.

Exact same build I've been considering, except a different PSU (I decided to go with the Antec Earthwatts 380). Good to see it gets a thumbs-up. Big Grin

I preferred the Antec Earthwatts 380 with the rear fan than the bottom/top fan on the other PSU too....

>Alienware X51- do it all HTPC
>Simplify XBMC configurations
>HOW-TO Bitstreaming using XBMC
I refused to watch movie without bitstreaming HD audio!

Yeah, that was one of my criteria, plus I needed several SATA connectors as I'll be running two 3.5 HDDs and possibly an SSD as well. The Earthwatts seems like a solid product, from all the reviews I've read.

I've used a couple of EA380D in my own builds and in customers' builds. I built 8 PCs for my daughters' school with the EA380D as part of the Antec NSK4482B case. Every single one has been rock solid. You can't go wrong with it. Also nice is the Seasonic SS-300ES or ET.

The thing with that FSP PSU I link is it's an SFX PSU with an ATX adapter bracket so it takes up much less room in the case but is 300W, 80+ and has plenty of connectors. I've used this one in my own server and servers I've built in the Lian-Li PC-Q08 and Q25.

Thanks for the help. Looks like I'll order the antec psu, and be good to go.

The CX430 I will never buy... failed and almost destroyed my system. Annoying hum when computer was off... as I can see from reviews some people are lucky and some are not...
