HDMI for video and USB for audio
#1
Hi,
Im new here. Would like to know if its possible to use HDMI output for movies (audio and video), and USB output for audio only files (FLAC). Reason is because I process all my video stuff thru an Onkyo processor and audio related thru a dedicated DAC.
thanks in advance

Thanks n1md4 for your help. My intention is try to know if, without any other external player, I can pre-define inside XBMC wich files go thru an specific autput: HDMI or USB.

You could try to - when playing back a file type you desire to set to either output. you bring up OSD and define what output you want to use, presuming you can select the USB/HDMI and save for all files.

Screenshot onthere is a bit outdated but you get the "picture"

Its not guaranteed this is going to work either.
