I am totally new to XMBC. after successful installation, i launched the program.
totally black screen.
i hit alt-f4
rebooted pc
then relaunched - same black screen .

windows xp sp3

is there a way to access the config externally? perhaps to change it from full screen to windowed?
i have been reading the various posts on this, and most talk about the black screen when playing a video. i cant even get the menu screen to come up.

any help would be greatly appreciated

update: figured out the screen issue....
changed screen size to 1024 x 768 and xmbc does in fact launch.. HOWEVER.
all the words are impossible to read (except large letters in scroll bar across center of screen) - they are cut in half (horizontally)

additionally video does not play - there is sound, but no video
