Hi,

I have a Win 7 laptop running Frodo RC, and my main Win 7 HTPC running Eden, and a MCE remote along with an infrared pickup.

On my laptop, when I run MCEremote and apply the defaults I can get the remote working well with all MCE buttons working properly.

On the main HTPC, when I do exactly the same thing and get no errors the MCE remote is not updated and many of the MCE buttons not work.

Its as if MCERemote is just not working on the HTPC.

Any ideas why this is happening??

which remote do you got ?
you could give the following a try.
this works great for me with my MCE reciever (using a logitech harmoney that's faking the MCE remote)

Its an MCE remote - don't know which one as the label on the back has rubbed off.

Thing is - I know it works with MCERemote as when I plug it into my laptop, I can configure MCEremote and it works really well with XBMC.

Its just my main HTPC which doesn't want to work with MCERemote...

... I'm wondering if I've set something on my HTPC which is stopping it working - Is there any sort of reset I can that I can do??
