Solved -- RESOLVED ! -- Frodo - Linux - Pivos Xios Profile Problem

zebraitis,
I can confirm exactly the same problem on Raspberry Pi running Raspbmc.
Working perfectly on Win 7 and 8 using profiles, advancedsettings.xml for each profile and MySQL for the data.

If I enable the login screen on the Raspberry I have the same problem.

However... the music libraries "works".... kind of... :S

Cool. Thanks for documenting the issue on Pi.

Over at the Pivos Forum, The Uni had this info to add...

Heh, thanks for remaining constructive in pushing the issue.

As it is, the fix will work for multiple profiles, but NOT when using the login screen (so it's hardly useful of course).

I've narrowed down the problem and I'll push in a fix if I can find some time tomorrow, else first thing Monday.

So, it looks like we may have a fix in the works. Nod

Ok,
do I edit AdvancedSettings.cpp with the changes.... and if so I can’t for the life of me locate the AdvancedSettings.cpp in my system...

Or.... do I need to compile.. Huh

Thanks !

you need to compile source code Smile I suggest waiting for a binary to come out.

Folks...

Sadly (since a compiled nightly for XBMC Linux Xios became available) I can say that the issue is NOT resolved.

I have documented details at: http://www.pivosforums.com/viewtopic.php...351#p22343

I can confirm what zebraitis says.. profiles are not working for movies.. but.. for music the does work...... Sad

I did Update on Raspbmc:

Quote:1 Login to the pi and, from the /home/pi/ dir, type: tar -czf backup.tar.gz .xbmc/
2 Transfer that file to a secondary machine (ftp, sftp, or scp are all viable options)
3 Upgrade your Raspbmc install using the installer downloaded from http://download.raspbmc.com/downloads/bi...-win32.zip.
4 Return the tar file you copied in step 2 to the Raspberry Pi
5 Run the following commands: sudo initctl stop xbmc; tar -xzf backup.tar.gz; rm backup.tar.gz; sudo initctl start xbmc

Now total fresh install Angry
