I followed the steps on the XBMC wiki to setup Upnp sharing and initially it worked great. I was able to connect 2 client computers on to the upnp server without problems. All the files showed up with the cover art and everything.

But the next day after all the computers were turned off over night, including the upnp server, the clients no longer see the upnp server as available and are unable to connect.

The only way i was able to get the server to work is by going into settings unselecting the upnp settings, restarting the computer and reestablish the upnp settings.

Has anybody else experienced this issue? any help would be appreciated.

The only thing that jumps to my mind is that when the computers disconnect then reconnect to the network, they're getting assigned different IP addresses by your router.
Check your router settings, if you can set each computer's MAC address to a static IP and that should resolve your issue.
