Too expensive? Its €99 on Amazon.de and im sure they ship to Norway for maybe €15.

From Googling a bit it doesn't seem to be a problem to run OpenElec on it.

Really? How about bit-streaming?
1) Really, click on the link!

2) No idea...

Where exactly did you find it?
The gpu is NOT on the supported list as i expected and the vendor isn't even listed

But that's definitely NOT a nvidia/ion board...

It's the last product listed on the very first table in my link "Commercial "Off the Shelf" HTPC's"

So given the choice between that one and the one i mentioned earlier:

Quote:4.The cheapest fm2 build i could put together:
FRACTAL DESIGN MINITOWER CORE 1000 BLACK M-ATX
279kr = 49,8$
AMD A-SERIES X2 A4-5300 3.4GHZ SOCKET FM2 BOX
379kr = 67,67$
KINGSTON 2GB 1600MHZ DDR3 CL9 HYPERX BLU
99kr = 17,67$
MSI FM2-A55M-E33 A55 S-FM2 M-ATX
399kr = 71,25$
Total of 1156kr = 206,4$
+ a free ASUS GT610 1GB PASSIVE

which would you pick?

After taxes the price difference is about
FM2 build with wifi and shipping = 1500kr = 272$
MC001-N after taxes and shipping = 1100kr = 200$

So i went a completely different way.
I decided that I didn't need the newest hardware to run XBMC so i payed 5$ for access to the local garbage dump.

What i picked up:
1.Old packard bell iMedia; 775 socket 2GHz(don't remember product id right now), 775socket m-atx mb, 1GB PC2-4200 ram and FSP ATX psu
2.Wireless 'n' adapter; dlink dwa 140
3.laptop hdd; samsung 120GB 5400rpm

So i only have to buy some parts.

Already bought a ASUS fanless GT610 1GB for 25$
After initial tests the whole setup works flawlessly(including 1080p streaming over wireless 'n'

What I've ordered:
Case replacement: FRACTAL DESIGN CORE 1000 for 35$
CPU cooler replacement: ARCTIC COOLING FREEZER 7 LP S-775 for 5$

That puts me to a total of 70$ after taxes

Here are some initial pics:

It's going to be a lot quieter and a bit nicer after the new case and cpu cooler arrives Smile

Whilst I cant compete with $70 here's the sub £100 HTPC I've put together

AMD Llano A4 3400 2.7GHz APU £31.64
Kingston 4GB DDR3 1600MHz HyperX RAM £17.50
ASRock A55M-HVS Mobo £32.74
Mini Itx Computer Case (PIX-1001) + 250 watt psu http://powereagle.en.made-in-china.com/p...1001-.html £15 (bought from a friend who also used the same mATX mobo I have in this itx box so I know it fits)
500gb hdd taken from my main pc when I upgraded to a 2tb now sitting in the drawer £0
High gain Wireless N 300 dongle also sitting in the drawer £0

I'm guessing I may have to buy a quieter cooler to add to this but I'm quite happy at putting together a low cost HTPC for my bedroom at these prices
