I've followed all suggestions but I still have been unable to get the setup I want. I'm using Frodo RC3
with Aeon Nox 4.09

I'm trying to get the latest/random tv/movies widgets to sort specifically by playlists.

I have playlist script, watchlist, and lastandrandomitems as well as skin widgets.

Furthermore, there is no Smart Playlist Manager option like on 4.0

1) choose a better thread title next time please
2) read the FAQ
3) if that is not enough, tell us here in detail what you tried, what you want exactly etc.

1. Duly noted. Smile
2. I have read the FAQ
3.

I have just now clean installed XBMC Frodo RC 3 (after initial post)
I have installed skin skin Aeon Nox version 4.09 from XBMC skin add-ons.
I have followed these directions according to the FAQ

Quote:Q. How do I add playlists to home menu?

Create playlist then access Skin Settings/Main Menu Item Customiser

Select one of the Custom Items on the home menu.

1.Enable the Custom menu item.
2.Choose Type [Video Playlist]
3.Select Playlist
4.Change Label [Name] if necessary

Quote:Q. How do I enable widgets and library stats for my smart playlists?

Access Skin Settings/Main Menu Item Customiser/

1.Browse to smart playlist on home menu
2.Press up to access General Options
3.Select "Smart Playlist Manager"
4.Add smart playlist to first available slot (first 6 slots are used for backgrounds, library stats and widget 1, last 6 slots for wiget 2)
5.Select what type of content you want widget to display eg. Random Movies, Latest Movies, In Progress Movies
6.Say Yes/No to "include already watched items"
7.Select smart playlist from list
8.Enter home menu item by clickin on it.
9. select "Choose Widget / InfoLIne / Background" and select new Playlist entry you've just added.

Upon entering Smart Playlist Manager (which wasn't there on last install...) I receive an error

Quote:script failed! script.randomandlastitem.py

I can not get movie smart playlist widgets to remain separate from tv smart playlist widgets and vis versa.

I have installed the script from the http://mirrors.xbmc.org/addons/frodo/
the problem remains.

No need. I fixed it by reinstalling the plugin. I guess it got corrupted somehow.
