As you can see in the first post

Frodo --> https://github.com/paradix/skin.cirrus.e...tree/Frodo
Gotham --> https://github.com/paradix/skin.cirrus.e...ree/gotham
Helix --> https://github.com/paradix/skin.cirrus.extended.v3

If you would like to use with nigthlies versions of Isengard, it works almost completly

Thanks. I of course saw those, but noticed the OP wasn't updated since January and thought there would have been a more current version.

Where are the nightlies Angel and are there any worthwhile improvements/features in the nightlies that aren't in the standard versions?

Nightly builds are made on a daily basis and contain the most recent changes. These should be considered unstable for daily usage and should only be used for to help us find possible issues to provide more stable monthly builds and in the end a stable final release.

Be sure to read the following pages before trying these out:
- Development builds http://kodi.wiki/view/development_builds
- Quality assurance testing http://kodi.wiki/view/HOW-TO:Help_with_q...ce_testing

Only for the brave. You could expect breakage when running these builds which can be downloaded from here:
- Nightly builds http://mirrors.kodi.tv/nightlies/

if you are not an advanced user, i recomend you to use stable version

First of all, this skin is just perfect - so extremely customizable, I love it!

Recently upgraded to 14.2 and wanted to use it again, but I've got a problem:

Whenever I am in a context menu, the skin doesn't highlight which entry is selected. Is this a known issue, or any way to fix this?

Tried all the different version on the front page (master, helix and the one from OneDrive)...

Could you pleas post a screenshot?

Thanks for the reply!

Took a look into the Onedrive version again and it seems to work!

But I encountered another problem:

When trying to change the backgrounds for main menu items, it doesn't show me the item I'm editing.

You need to changethe file SkinSettings.xml as follows:
- line 1222 change from <left>650</left> to <left>0</left>
- line 1233 change from <left>650</left> to <left>0</left>

Here's an interesting skin issue for you. I'm running 14.2 on a Win 8.1 desktop (Lenovo Q190 if it helps) and although I've installed Cirrus Extended and can customize it, I feel like there's something missing or not working right (but I can't put my finger on it).

Then if I look at all my skins in "Get More" it says Cirrus Extended is incompatible rather than enabled, disabled or blank. I've tried every version of Cirrus Extended out there I can find, disabling and uninstalling it between installations and I can't get it to install properly. Any thoughts, tips or advice?

FYI my current go to skin is CCM, which is great, but I'm looking for a change, especially in the movie and TV show views area. Speaking of that, here's a bonus question: Is there a reasonably easy way to add different movie views to CCM or any skin? For example, is there a way to add Coverflow, Poster Box or other views to different skins?

There isn't an "official" Kodi build of Cirrus Extended as of yet hence why you get the incompatible message. If you cannot download the skin natively via Kodi then it isn't an "official" skin yet. Think of it that way.

The amount of changes made from the old 3.1.2 released for XBMC to what is available on github is astounding and as Paradix (with various others), from the work I have seen, is basically rewriting huge portions from the ground up cleanly. Given the scope of the Cirrus skin that is literally a massive undertaking. Pure speculation but I would imagine an "official" release for Helix wouldn't be priority as Isengard is around the corner.

Thanks. I just never saw an incompatible message when the item actually installed and seems to be working, just possibly not fully working.

Any thoughts on my bonus question? Wink

You can expect certain aspects of the skin to be broken or not working at this stage as it is still being updated but the incompatible message is nothing to be alarmed about - as before, it simply means that the skin isn't "official" yet.

Regarding your bonus question, kind of. You can't just make other viewtypes appear in other sections or mix and match viewtypes from one skin to another through a simple move or changing a file name. You would need to get into the guts of each intended viewtype and modify A LOT of stuff or even if you built your own view from the ground up you'd still need to modify the intended skin so it knows how to "see" or use your new view. So it can be done. But it isn't a simple undertaking. If you're confident with XML or just have a lot of patience it is possible. Smile
