Volume is 'quiet' even at maximum
#1
Hi

I have recently upgraded to Eden.

I play music via NAS files streamed via an HTPC runninng Windows 7 and XBMC Eden - this goes through an ARCAM 'hi-fi' system and copper wired speakers.

The ARCAM has a max volume control of 72. It used to be that at 40-50 that was fine, and as you approached 65 that was getting VERY LOUD!

It still is - if I use Spotify or play music files via MusicBee or another player.

With XBMC, even at 72 (maximum) the volume is probably equivalent to 35 with the other players.

Is there something in the settings I am missing?

Currently on Music->Settings-->Playback I have Replaygain volumen adjustment set to Off
(It does not seem to make any difference what this setting is)

Currently on System Settings-->Audtio output I have:
Audio output = Analogue (It does not seem to make any differnce what I change this to)
Boost volume level on downmix is selected
Audio output device = Direct Sound:Speakers (High Definition Audio Device) - again, it does not seem to make any difference what this is set to.

Any advice on this?

It was working fine with the previous version of XBMC, and as I have said, other players are fine.

Many thanks, D
