Set-Top Mirrored RAID XBMCbuntu?
#1
Hi Everyone,

I'm helping a friend of mine put together a small XBMC box that's as set-top/user friendly as it can get. My experience is either building full rackmount installs based on windows or linux, or having low-power clients connecting to a large NAS setups. I really like the 'set-top' box simplicity of XBMCbuntu, but I was wondering if anyone's ever tried to set it up to use a mirror'd RAID so she has some redundant backup. Does XBMCbuntu support that, and if so what hardware would be best/required to do it? I was thinking of using a small ASUS eeebox or something similar. Maybe a custom unit?

Also, this is not really a hardware question, but I figure one post is better than two... does xbmcbuntu play DVD's and Bluray's like the standard version? Can it rip anything directly to the library?

Thanks for any advice you all have!
