Stuttering after GFX change?
#1
Question
I have a serious problem..

I had GTX 680, worked perfectly. Then i used HD4000 for a while, also with no problems.. Now i use an AMD 7950 with latest drivers and i get really bad stuttering in XBMC. The sound is gone and i got 4 fps.. Angry

I tried the official frodo and latest nightly build (and complete reinstall + removing old profile/settings)

It still stutters like crazy in both HD and DVD5?! Huh

Tried all kinds of AMD drivers, running the 13.1 WHQL now. Anyone else running AMD 7900 series with newest WHQL and XBMC without issues?!

I tried with AMDs HDMI Audio driver installed, but i don't need it. I'm using an Asus Essence STX soundcard connected to my stereo amp.

Using HDMI from my AMD 7950 to my TV.

This worked without issue on both my GTX 680 and my HD4000 (i5-3570K).

I'm starting to regret i bought an AMD card :O But luckily I can return it if I don't fix this problem soon.. Tired of using VLC (witch has no problems btw, runs 100% smooth)

I've found a solution. Had to change Audio Output Device to "WASAPI" instead of "DirectSound"

I dont know why this happend. Never happened before. My best guess is AMDs HDMI drivers fucked something up.
