How to manually change an episode & season number
#1
Hello,
I have a TV show in my library but theTVDB has messed up season and episode numbers. In this particular series, they have over a 100 episodes in season 2 when there should only be around 30 and the remainder is season 3 and 4. The plot and artwork is all correct but is there a way to manually change the season number and episode number while still retaining the information from the scraper?

Thanks for your time.

You can export the metadata out to NFO files, remove the tv show from your library, edit the NFO to change the seasons and reimport that show back into the library. The details from the NFO will be used instead of getting the data from TheTVDB.

As long as your filenames are correct, you can use MediaElch (http://www.mediaelch.de/). You can pull the artwork and metadata initially from theTVDB and then do a manual edit. A bit easier then manual editing .nfo files.

How do you make MediaElch create NFO files for each episode?
