Hi

For some reason my xbmc has become so laggy that I cant even play a simple 720p movie. I have been using my setup for ages and it has always worked perfect.
I have reinstalled the graphic card drivers and also reinstalled xbmc, still so laggy that I cant watch a movie. If i use VLC then there is no problem anymore. It feels like it dont use the GPU anymore and that it plays everything with the cpu.


Anyone got any tips what to try next?

I'm not sure how you connected your HTPC to your HDTV. You might want to look over audio output configurations again. Here are some tips- Audio output configurations-

My HTPC is connected with HDMI to my TV and a digital cable (tosslink i think its called) to my receiver. That has 6.1 setup. (dont know why its 6.1) but its only 6 speakers and 1 sub.

Thank you bluray, the fault was that it had wrong audio output! Thanks for your guide, now it works good.
