XBMCBuntu on MBPr 15"
#1
Hello,

I am using XBMC on my MBPr in my Sleeping room, for quite some time now, but the output doesn't change Hz fro different kind of Input. (24p e.g.)

So I want to try to install XBMCBuntu on a USB. Would be cleaner for me anyway as it's my working Computer.
Is there anything special I have to be aware of, or just install and everything works out of the box?

Regards

Stephan

I had to instal rEFI for my MBP to boot from linux USB drives, for some reason. http://refit.sourceforge.net

I would try it first without, but if you have issues, that might fix it for you. It's basically like an extra boot loader thing for when you want to boot from various sources. Doesn't seem to have any negative impact on my MBP when I normally use it on Mac OS X, but use it with caution. Back up your computer before trying it, etc.
