OMXPlayer cache setup in milliseconds for live rtsp stream?
#1
Dear all,

Are there any settings to force the player to run with minimum buffer (delay)?
I'm mean like in VLC the command ":network-caching=300" (value in milliseconds)
Background: I've a Sony IP camera and want to use the Raspberry PI with RaspBmc or OpenELEC or maybe another Linux computer as live decoder.
The rtsp stream is working fine with the OMXPlayer in H264, base line, 720P or 1080P with 25FPS and CBR with 3072 to 8192 Mbit/s with my xxx.strm file, inclunding the following link: rtsp://ip_adr/media/video1
But I want to have it more realy time (eg. 0,3 sec) on my "welcome monitor" in my little shop, as the buffer time seems around 2 to 4 seconds, depending on the camera bandwidth and resolution settings.
I play around alot with the advancedsettings.xml settings, but even a small value like 1MB in the <cachemembuffersize>1048576</cachemembuffersize>, or "0" didn't change it.

Thank you in advance and greetings from Austria,
Julian
