Solved XBMC.org Add-ons is blank/empty - Why, and how can I get it back?
#1
Hello all,

I'm quite new to XBMC and I've manually installed it on top of a full LinuxMint installation.

As it turns out, after a few days of playing around with things I might have broken something (I know...little knowledge is a dangerous thing), and I need some help in fixing it.

So...I've noticed that when I try to get add-ons (via System/Setting -> Add-ons -> Get Add-ons -> XBMC.org Add-ons), I don't see any entries at all except the parent (..) option. I'm pretty sure that there used to be other entries there, when I first installed the application.

What have I done wrong...and/or what can I do to bring it back to normal.

Appreciate your help guys.

The force refresh alone did not work for me.I am on Windows 7.

Only the above solution worked for me. Then I had to do a force refresh after deleting addon15.db and restarting XBMC. . For Windows this file is located in %appData%/XBMC/userdata/Database.

Early today the servers seem to be very slow to respond sometimes, before forwarding (or however it works) the user to an actual mirror. Even now, trying to open http://mirrors.xbmc.org is taking a while to load. If you tried the above solutions and they didn't work then the issue might be on our side, and will likely be resolved in a day or so (if that).

EDIT: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...pid1569554

Sounds like it will be back to normal in a few hours, if it is not already working now.

Hi,
I´m using the NAS Asustor AS-302T and on my NAS i have XBMC installed.
i had also the problem, that all my add-ons was empty
i tried to fix it with the "force refresh but it hasnt worked", because nothing happend when i clicked on force refresh

then i had searched for the userdata folder on my NAS, i had only found it with a putty connection on my NAS
after deletion of the addon15.db and restart of XBMX everything worked fine and the problem was fixed.

@slekk Sorry to resurrect, but I'd like to follow up here. Do you recall where you found addon15.db? I can't even find the userdata folder on my (AS-602T) NAS? Does anybody else have experience on the ASUSTOR NASes?

I eventually found this at /.@plugins/AppCentral/xbmc/.xbmc/userdata/Database/Addons15.db as of today.
