VCD and TMT6 don't start under Win8
#1
Hy Community,

I'm new in xbmc but i try my best to understand and fix my problems. But atm i stopped and there is no way out (for me) :-(
Short info:

MacMini late 2012 with Windows 8 over BootCamp
XBMC 12 (downloaded 4 days ago)
Virtual Clone Drive (downloaded 4 days ago)
Total Media Theatre 6

I changed the playercorefactory.xml and the essential .bat files
When i try to play an .iso file with xbmc and the external TMT6 it would not work.
I choose play with ISO-Player but nothing happend.
In the .log there is an entry FAILURE: 2

I hope my english is as good as you understand Rolleyes

If i use the .bat by itself everything works fine.
Is it right that FAILURE: 2 is a timeout problem?

How can i fix this? Same .xml and .bat under win7 and TMT5 on my laptop works fine Confused
(i know this is not the best comparison, two different systems)

Is the username "Björn" the problem?

Greetings from germany and a big thanks for all replies to help troubleshooting.

The username could be one reason. Another reason is that the option 'use a fullscreen window rather than true fullscreen' is not enabled.

I would guess it would be the username - For testing purposes try placing the PlayISO.bat somewhere else for example C:\Test\PlayISO.bat

Then change the playercorefactory.xml from

<filename>C:\Users\Björn\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\userdata\PlayISO.bat</filename>

to

<filename>C:\Test\PlayISO.bat</filename>

See if that fixes it.
