Win mp loses shares at reboot
#1
Hello Margro or who ever can help me...

I've got a multiseat mediaportal setup and am a total newbie concerning xbmc.
I installed the backend plugin together with win7 64bit pro and mp tv server 1.3 rc to work together with raspbmc final.
Everything is working fine so far but when I reboot my server (what is done automatically once a week) the timeshift shares will be lost after that.
Is this problem known? Or is there anything I can do to clarify the problem, send logs, whatsoever?

So if I understand it correctly, you have to recreate the shares at the server side? I've used most Windows versions around there, but this new for me... A quick google on "shares missing after reboot windows" might help you further. It is Windows that remembers the shares not the TVServerXBMC plugin.

Oh, yeah then I know what's wrong. I have my timeshift folder on a ramdisk which will be recreated after
every reboot. So obviously the tv server get's started before the ramdisk has been created and thus the
respective drive letter can't be found...
Gotta try if I can delay the start of the tv server to avoid the above.
Thanks for pointing my into the right direction.

Ah, that makes sense. The TVServerXBMC addon only checks if the timeshift folder is shared during plugin initialization.
