I've seen XBMC / pvr screengrabs showing preview images for recorded shows, but I just get a placeholder image.

I saw one other mention of this on the lonleycoder forums with no reply.

Is this a feature that isn't yet implemented?

I haven't tried it, so I have no idea if it would work, but could you use ffmpeg to extract a still image and rename it to <programme>-thumb.jpg? If XBMC can process that as it would a normal library programme, that might give you something. You could do this as part of a post-processing script.

it's not implemented in xbmc at this time
