sorry this is the first time I participate in forums
use xbmc for a couple of years, except for a few small bugs almost always okay.
for health reasons I picked up the pc on hand a few days ago.
I installed the latest release and unfortunately at the moment to play audio disappeared and slow motion.
Vlc I have always installed it works perfectly.
my pc 2 4 core 3300
radeon hd 6700 graphics card
windows 7 ultimate 64

Did you look at the Driver option for the sound ?
If not, go to system>audio output and try to change from wasapi to directsound (or from directsound to wasapi) it should do the trick for the sound.
For the slow motion, I only have it with .mp4 and I've been lazy: I just avoid them altogether, sorry.

I don't know how you connected your HTPC, but you can find some tips and screen photos for Frodo audio output in this thread- Simplify XBMC configurations......
