Im spending my time reading sifting through this community to take my shot at an HTPC build.
Based on eskro's sticky I would fall in group six.
My question is if I could come up with something that would work well out of the pile of hardware listed below?
A suggestion as to what to keep and what i may need to add.

Do you think the 8800GT would be enough video card for my intended use? It would keep my build size down if I didnt need the 4870x2.

I actually have all the hardware in the first group on a tech station right now and would love to throw a blu ray player on there and call it a day.
if those things would do the job?
