Linux [Frodo] No deinterlace settings
#1
Question
Hi,

yesterday I installed Frodo on my HTPC which was running fine now for a year with XBMC Eden+PVR. I didn't change anything else.

If opening video settings menu in LiveTV the first option is still "Deinterlace - on/off/auto", but there is no second deinterlace option field, which algorithm to use (bob, neighbour ..). It seems that even if deinterlace is set to On it doesn't really work.

What happened ? Machine specs below, Deinterlace and Bob worked flawlessly with Eden on this machine.

.. deinterlace settings appear and deinterlacing works at all (only) if VDPAU is activated .. this a little bit messing since VDPAU is GPU hardware acceleration with NVidias cards, I use Intel HD iGPU that should work with VAAPI - but it doesn't; if VAAPI is enabled nothing happens - so now VDPAU is enabled and VAAPI disabled - and it works ..

Hi,

This worked for me as well using xmbc (12.2) and mythtv backend (0.26).

Thank you for the solution as this was driving me crazy.

Regards,

Jk
