I have an Focusrite external Sound Card.
I changed in the System Sound preference the audio output to Saffire and the sound work only in mono mode. I tried restart the XBMC and does't work with stereo mode.

... Sorry my bad english, I don't speak english!

check the speakerlayout in audio-midi-setup and in xbmc. (e.x. set both to 2.0).
