I have a problem which sprang up a couple of months ago. Anytime I try to play an HD video (I assume its related to the codec) XBMC will play 5 seconds of audio, never show any video and then freeze entirely. The problem started occurring sometime around when I installed the Xvid codec on my computer, but I am not 100% certain that was the cause.
Since then I have tried updating XBMC, and removing the Xvid codec and reinstalling XBMC but it has had no effect. This problem does not occur with lower quality videos.
Has anyone encountered a similar problem? Know of a possible fix? Thank you.
