XBMC on an old 2005 Mac Mini?
#1
Hi, I'm looking to upgrade from using a Raspberry Pi to run XBMC and I was thinking an old Mac Mini would do the trick? I know only up to Eden will run one but that is fine for me, as I only want to stream my movies, TV shows and music from my WD MyBook Live.

Would you see any glaring issues with this? I would think a model with 1GB of RAM should run more smoothly that a Pi right?

Thanks for any and all help/

Nope. 2005 Mac Mini is a PPC processor, which we don't support anymore. It will also struggle with anything in HD.

Thanks for clearing that up. Won't bother now!
