Linux [Desktop Mode] Screen flickers. Help!
#1
System: Athlon X2 1.8G, Graphics AMD 690g (radeon x1250).
OS: Linux Mint 14 (nadia), MATE
XBMC: v12 binary build for ubuntu.

XBMC works well, when starting under MATE desktop.
But, its a problem with xbmc desktop mode: screen flickers time to time, fonts nearly unreadable, and it all looks like shattered time to time.

I tried to change resolution/frequency/vsync in Video settings menu. I'm also manually re-installed video drivers from AMD site. Nothing helps.

Please help me! I have no idea where is to dig

WBR, Alex

You are not using composite effects like compiz or anything are you?
It sure sounds like you have issues with the Ati driver. There are many known issues with the newest fglrx driver, which does not include some stuff that xbmc needs.
You do not provide us with enough information to work with - read this on how to add relevant information to a question here: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=34655

Information about the Ati issues can be found in this thread: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=116996
