Win Win8 Tablet XBMC Server
#1
Hi,

I couldn't find any information on this.

I would like to run XBMC server on a Windows 8 tablet. My idea is to run Pandora through XMBC on the tablet and push the stream out to Sony HomeShare speakers such as the SA-NS300. The SA-NS300 is compatible with DLNA and I understand that XBMC is also.

Question is, is my idea possible, feasible? Will a Win8 tablet be suitable for this?

I am not interested in streaming video, just audio.

Any ideas or information will be much appreciated!

Thanks,

XBMC is not a server. XBMC has a very basic UPnP server, but it will not do this currently. XBMC is meant to be ran on a computer or box of some kind that is connected directly to the TV.

XBMC does not run on Windows RT tablets. Windows Pro tablets are just normal x86 computers in tablet form, and should be able to run XBMC just fine.
