Hey there guys,

I have a htpc setup running frodo,

I have DVBViewer as a backend and xbmc as a front end.

DVBViewer has been working fine with Acmad (legal subscription from my own server) when i load it into XBMC it picks up all the chanels and sees dvbviewer and plays freeview and freeview hd programs but as soon as i try a encrypted channel it just has "working" in the bottom corner and does nothing.

Any idea how to solve this please

I don't believe XBMC can play any kind of encrypted recording. You can have XBMC manage the recordings, but you wouldneedto setup an external player that supports the encryption to actually play the files.

If i use DVBlink as a back end it sorts the encryption but stuters on playbeck threw xbmc

if i do the same thing with dvbviewer it plays free to air channels but just say "waiting" on sky uk channels

The DVBViewer website wont answer questions even tho im using a valid sky card as it breaks down as your not allowed to ask any questions about encryption, legal or none.

Strange that 1 works and the other doesnt.
