Audio mp4 / aac invisible
#1
Hello,

I have audio files with the extension .mp4. They were encoded with Nero AACENC.exe.
I can't see these files in xbmc. They are perfectly functional; I can play them with MPC-HC for example.
What can I do to see the files in XBMC?
I use the XBMC-DSP 12.1 version but it's the same problem with the standard version.

Thank you very much.

could be way off, but i don't think xbmc sees mp4 as a audio format, audio files. The folder where the files are located is added under music in XBMC i guess?
The Problem is not the problem. The problem is your attitude about the problem.
Do you understand?

Blackkatt is correct. XBMC doesn't look for the mp4 container for anything in your music library, by default.

You can either change the file extension to m4a, or use the <musicextensions> tag in advancedsettings.xml to tell XBMC to include mp4 extensions in scans.
