Hi all,
because I'm completely happy with both the OpenGL Spectrum and above all the Waveform visualization I don't have any need for the FishBMC and projectM visualization addons. Same applies to the rsxs screensavers - I'm just fine with black and dim. Since it seems not to be possible to disable these addons (buttons greyed out) I built XBMC with
The problem is that mentioned addons are still marked as active inside the addon manager and I can't disable them (deactivate buttons are still greyed out). As a consequence it is still possible to select them in the visualization and screensaver sections resulting in a crash of xbmc in cases when one selects the specific addon and it gets activated.
I'd expect plugins to not appear in the GUI at all if I didn't built them. So is it intended to have these addons always in an active state inside the addon manager no matter if the backend has been built or not? Or is it rather a bug?
However it would be nice to be able to deactivate shipped visualization and screensaver addons in general just like it is possible with any other addon (e.g. TheAudioDB.com addon).
Cheers
