VU+ Solo 2 problems
#1
Hi,
I'm having trouble getting Live TV to work - I've read the wiki and most of the posts on this sub-forum, but still no joy.

I have a VU+ Solo2 box - twin tuner configuration, but only one tuner working as there is only one cable wired up from the dish at the moment.(Suspect that's irrelevant, but just in case!)

I get a 'connection lost' error whenever I start up XBMC, and when I access the Live TV menu item, I get an error message saying that no PVR clients have been started.

Live TV is enabled and I have configured and enabled the add-on. I am also able to access the VU+ using the web interface using the default port (80) and can stream from the box using VLC on port 8001.

I have the same problem on a mac (OSX Mountain lion running Frodo 12.1) and on a Windows 7 machine (also running Frodo 12.1)

I've pasted the debug log at http://pastebin.com/va5tkdNU

It seems to suggest that the web interface isn't working, but as I say, I can access from the same machine using firefox and VLC.

Any help gratefully received!

regards
Graeme

Check that you get a proper result back when opening the deviceinfo page on you VU (check the debug log for the exact URL)

Thanks for the response. I get the following when it tries to access the deviceinfo page (extract from the debug log)

5:13:10 T:2964111360 INFO: AddOnLog: VU+ / Enigma2 Client: GetHttpXML Open webAPI with URL: 'http://192.168.1.131:80/web/deviceinfo'
15:13:10 T:2964111360 DEBUG: CFileCache::Open - opening <web/deviceinfo> using cache
15:13:10 T:2964111360 DEBUG: CurlFile::Open(0x1233eb60) http://192.168.1.131:80/web/deviceinfo
15:13:10 T:2964111360 INFO: easy_aquire - Created session to http://192.168.1.131

which looked OK to me (?), but later in the log there's an error

15:13:10 T:2964111360 DEBUG: AddOnLog: VU+ / Enigma2 Client: GetHttpXML - Could not open webAPI.
15:13:10 T:2964111360 DEBUG: AddOnLog: VU+ / Enigma2 Client: Unable to parse XML: Error document empty. at line 0

If I FTP onto the box, I can't see a /web directory - should there be one? What would usually create that on the VU box,if so?

Thanks
Graeme

Open the URL in a web browser - what do you get?

Hi
If I open the root url, I get the OpenWebif page as expected.

If I open the /web/deviceinfo page I get this.

Update to a newer / older openwebif version - the version which you are using has a broken deviceinfo call.

There is a PR open with a workaround for the PVR addon, but it wasn't merged yet.

Another user confirmed that a newer version of the openwebif does work again, so I closed the PR with the workaround. Update your box and everything should be fine...

Apologies for the delay in following up...work and travel intervened! Updated to a new version of openwebif, and all works great.

Many many thanks for the great help/support!
