Remote setup (Cant get it to work)
#1
HTC One V. So I've set up my android tablet as a portable media device. Whenever I attatch it to a TV I want to have a remote i.e use my android phone. First I tried setting up Yahtzee until I realized that Zeroconf isn't an option on my tablet so I never managed to get it to work. Then I tried the official remote and went through the process until I realized I had no network options section. I went through various screens trying to setup internet connections but without any success. Is it possible to get an android phone to work with a n android tablet that has Xbmc? If so any ideas as to what im doing wrong?

I figured this out but it required some serious digging. The HTC one V does not have onscreen buttons so no Menu option appears when setting up the remote. You have to hold down the touch button on the bottom right of the phone which then operates as a menu button from there setup is straightforward when following instructions at below link. The Xbmc menu settings are named differently on android so no "Network" submenu exists as per most instructions online. All the core options you need are under Service then UPnP/Webserver/Remote control
