Hi,
I have an original Xbox DVD remote. Long ago I wired the reciever to a USB cable and used it to control xbmc on an old windows xp machine. Time have passed.

I now have the reciever and a windows 8 machine. Is it still possible to use it? If so, how?

I'm wondering the same thing, i booted in to driver signing enforcement disabled and tried the drivers from http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=45337
Windows recognises the device but comes up with:
The software for this device has been blocked from starting because it is known to have problems with Windows. Contact the hardware vendor for a new driver. (Code 48)
