librtmp - Help Thread
(2014-12-14, 20:18)JoyDrop Wrote: Sorry, but if I could get some help updating the latest librtmp for FireTV in a simplified form. I've tried to understand how to do this, but I really am not a advanced as most when it comes to this sort of thing and since I am not using a PC or MAC but Android Arm instead, I really don't understand how to replace the old librtmp. I am on the latest Kodi 13.2.

Thanks in advance.

Anyone able to help or point me in the right directionHuh
I have installed XBMC on my LG 47" Class Cinema 3D 1080p 120 Hz LED TV with Google TV. How do I swap the libRTMP file? Thanks.

I compile under Win7 x64 with last MinGW.

thanks
A cross-compiler guide step-by-step would be awesome!
Now that RedPenguin has been away with his own real life problems, it would be great if someone could give some pointers on how to do it...
I hope RP (or others) can read this and help ...

EDIT:

SPMC (13.4.0) with LibRTMP 30.08.2014:

Hi Mabs 14.0 Helix +librtmp for android would be a perfect Christmas present!?!
You have to ask RP for a Kodi librtmp.
The one available is for Gotham. I already tried using the available librtmp on Helix Beta 2 and it didn't work.
I will try again with this final version, but I think it will not work.

Hi, Can we use this version with the 3.10.2014 librtmp file ir should we use the earlier version from 31.08.2014 librtmp file? Thanks in advance Joseph
Greetings. I used Milhouse's instructions to install librtmp on OpenELEC 4.97.3 on a Raspberry Pi:

http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=...pid1481392

When I attempt to utlize librtmp, the following message appears in the kodi.log, then kodi crashes and restarts.

10:46:54 T:2773480512 ERROR: Unable to load libcurl.so.4, reason: /var/tmp/libhack/3rdparty/librtmp.so.0: invalid ELF header.

A previous post suggested that ELF headers are due to installing an incorrect build, but I installed the file from the 8-30-14-fixes / RasPi directory.

Can someone add the newest LIBRTMP.DLL to KODI apk since some of our devices are not rooted like my FireTV Stick.

Thanks

JP
A friend from the PT forum (superceleron) cross-compiled the latest available version of the librtmp with K-S-V patches against openssl and using the NDK kodi uses (r9). It doesn't have all the redpenguin patches since I believe they are not opensource nor published anywhere only patches from KSV. Here is a test signed apk of Kodi 14.0 containing this librtmp. I tested it shortly and the RTMP links opened so I believe it is working fine.

This is just for testing purposes. If RedPenguin or others can pm me (or superceleron) the full patch.diff containing the non-public patches I believe he can compile a new version.

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1877...signed.apk

If you're interested in the librtmp only just unzip the apk and grab it manually.

Cheers

PS: All credits (in case this works) should be to superceleron.

I don't think these RP builds of librtmp support OpenELEC (on any architecture) since the latter switched from libssl to libressl. The RP librtmp builds either need to link libssl statically, or build against the system libressl.

Hi @sattekop

i have build a librtmp.so with last KSV updates from 28/10/2014 for Android-arm-Devices. The file has been successfully tested on my Android-Tablet with Jelly Bean 4.2.2 API level 17 and Kodi 14.0 Git:2014-12-23-ad747d9-dirty.

Here is the download link:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/bamf...mp.so?dl=0

If it does not work, reports it. Good Luck

Hi Enen92 and Noe,
Thanks!
Enen92 I have to try a find some courage to replace my whole apk on my android tablet, as it is currently running well for all that is working and with a apk I am likely to have to install all from scratch again.
I might have a look at the way the new community builds work over at the other forum, and see if I can make a good back-up first, That is another new tool that looks interesting.

Noe, is 28/10/2014 a typo or is there another KSV file out after RP made his last 3-10-2014 version? If so where are these posted?
Noe, Is there already a trick to avoid the librtmp.so to not be overwritten every new time you start KODI/XBMC? This is still the reason that we are looking for help from somebody to build a full apk that has the correct working librtmp build in.
