librtmp - Help Thread
Always nice to see the support of a Portuguese fellow...
As for the "excuse", no I didn't know because if I want to watch RTP here in Canada, I need to pay an extra $30/month to the local cable distributor, exactly the same as for the Brazilian channels. So much for free heh?
Now that I know, I won't post on this topic no more, just don't assume that I knew, that's all.

I understand that but for the RTP channels you don't need to pay RTP to watch them (it's free since it is the public tv channel). The cable provider needs to pay rtp to broadcast their channels...that's something different. The addon you're mentioning is also using rtp as a source, no problem with that but it is also using a lot of other illegit sources which makes it not eligible for support in these forums.
Have a happy new year.
Got it.
Happy new year to you too.

It doesn't have all the redpenguin patches since I believe they are not opensource nor published anywhere only patches from KSV. Here is a test signed apk of Kodi 14.0 containing this librtmp. I tested it shortly and the RTMP links opened so I believe it is working fine.

This is just for testing purposes. If RedPenguin or others can pm me (or superceleron) the full patch.diff containing the non-public patches I believe he can compile a new version.

If you're interested in the librtmp only just unzip the apk and grab it manually.

Cheers

PS: All credits (in case this works) should be to superceleron.
Thanks Enen92 and superceleron!! This one is running great.

Noe, is 28/10/2014 a typo or is there another KSV file out after RP made his last 3-10-2014 version? If so where are these posted?
Noe, Is there already a trick to avoid the librtmp.so to not be overwritten every new time you start KODI/XBMC? This is still the reason that we are looking for help from somebody to build a full apk that has the correct working librtmp build in.

Hi @sattekop

The last version of rtmpdump binaries is from 28/10/2014. More information see you this page http://stream-recorder.com/forum/customi...e7facd&

It is important, that you have root permission on your android-devices and then you can replaced librtmp.so in android to this folder

Code:
/data/data/org.xbmc.kodi/lib/librtmp.so

See also http://kodi.wiki/view/HOW-TO:Update_librtmp

i hope it help you

#Noe

Hi Noe, The stream recorder website is now giving alarms as infected with my Avast (JS:Includer-BFY[Trj]), and this seem to be confirmed by others.

I don't think these RP builds of librtmp support OpenELEC (on any architecture) since the latter switched from libssl to libressl. The RP librtmp builds either need to link libssl statically, or build against the system libressl.

I am running Openelec 5.0 on a Chromebox. Does this mean I cannot use any of the RP builds on my system? Are there any other options?

I have some live streams I am trying to get to work by updating my librtmp.

Thanks for any advice you can offer. Sorry if I missed something obvious, I am pretty new to all of this stuff.
Im using Apple tv 2's for XBMC.
I have not found a librtmp file that works with Kodi for live tv streams.
I have gone back to Gotham 13.2 which works great with RP's librtmp files.
Looking forward to an update.

RP: have been watching for information on updating the Ubuntu 14.04 x64 librtmp.so. Is there an updated version version you would recommend trying? I had tried using the Linux x64 librtmp.so within your shared folder but upon copying and replacing the file, Kodi crashes and then bootloops repeatedly so I had to remove it.

I too have been wondering about this.
I did replace the rtmp* files. which has relived some of my streaming issues.
Is it possible that the new librtmp file on Ubuntu 14.x is the most updatedHuh
Linux Mint 18 LTS 64-bit - Kodi 17 Beta6
Odroid-C2 - Libreelec v7.90.009

locomot1f: Not sure if I have this right, but looking here http://www.ubuntuupdates.org/package/cor...ibrtmp-dev, shows a version from 2012 (2.4+20121230.gitdf6c518-1).

XBMC for MINIX 13.3.3 Beta8 With "LibRTMP from Superceleron (29.12.2014)"

Code:
http://www.mediafire.com/?4b657kku34qpo6p/
Made and tested by me.
Librtmp not from RP, but tested working at the time.

There are problems with some servers now that there is no fix at the moment...
This librtmp is more recent but still not working with those servers.

Please test and give feedback.
Thanks
Sorry to kinda ask the same question, but how are you guys updating the librtmp.DLL file on the fireTV stick? Or any device that cannot be rooted for that matter.
It needs to be rooted to update the file but it seems that we cannot root the fire TV stick. I have some friends that have Android devices that they don't want to void the warranty.. So not rooted. So maybe an apk file That will install all that is needed?

Thanks for your help.

I guess my question is that,
now it seems that ubuntu 14.10 is using librtmp.so.1
is there a version of librtmp that will replace it?

previous versions use librtmp.so.0
Linux Mint 18 LTS 64-bit - Kodi 17 Beta6
Odroid-C2 - Libreelec v7.90.009
Hi all!

Any librtmp.so.0 for OpenELEC 5.0.0 (i386) Helix version?

Thanks so much!
