@invisable: He's looking for Gotham, which won't work with those binaries, and since Gotham is basically out of support I doubt he'll find what he's looking for.

Sorry, my mistake I'll edit my previous post, just in case it's used and the user upgrades by mistake.
RP has posted his 16 March 2015 new updates for windows, linux, raspi and IOS!!

The RasPi build seems to work on OpenELEC with the library hack (tested on both a Pi1 and Pi2, running OpenELEC/Kodi15 test builds).

Hi all, just a couple of basic questions;

1. Millhouse's hack is just for OpenElec?
2. Does anybody know why RP Rpi builds are 2MB whereas others I've seen are much smaller e.g. wraithdu's at 127KB?
3. On OSMC RC1 I should;
- download RP build
- rename it from librtmp.so.0 to librtmp.so.1
- then use it to replace /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/librtmp.so.1 ?

I also note that on osmc RC1 we also have;

/usr/lib/librtmp.so which is linked to /usr/lib/librtmp.so.1

These original files have the following properties;
/usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/librtmp.so.1 -> Timestamp Nov 11 16:24, Size : 79K
/usr/lib/librtmp.so.1 -> Timestamp : Mar 9 23:13, Size : 108K

So what is /usr/lib/librtmp.so.1 for and how do we know Kodi is using (and we need to replace) /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/librtmp.so.1 ?
1. Yes
2. The 2MB files are statically linked with all dependencies, the smaller files are dynamically linked. Static linking allows the libraries to work on OpenELEC and Raspbmc/OSMC/Xbian/Raspbian, whereas the dynamically linked files will only work on OpenELEC.
3. No idea about OSMC

Thanks for that. I'll be posting this over on the osmc forums as well and will report back.
Well i did compile a linux-arm generic lib, tested on RPi1/2 Wetek.Play openelec.. and its working fine.
So i think it should work on OSMC...

yes, i have your compile lib on my osmc rc and its working flawless
Hi Superceleron, will you be able to publish a new android kodi version with the new RP build in. If so, will you do it for 14.2 RC or want to wait until official ful 14.2 comes out?
Thanks!!
well i cant... i don't have the source code that RP uses, but i dint see any difference in the lib, maybe the change was only on rtmpdump...
If i do one apk is with my compile, because like a i said i don't see any difference in the lib and its beter to do 14.2 final.
I say final because i need to make an apk of spmc and kodi x86.
Thanks for update Superceleron ! Looking forward to your 14.2.

So which one did you replace?

This

/usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/librtmp.so.1

or this

/usr/lib/librtmp.so.1

or both?

I only replace /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/librtmp.so.1

One more to go, hopefully he'll update the Android APK, and we will all be up to date. Nod
