What for is the menu item "Featured"? What is the difference to the other menu items, why should you use "Featured"?

you don´t have to. it´s useful if you don´t want to add all those widgets to main menu.

It seems, as if "Featured" is an item of the main menu or you can it make be one at least. And you could add those widgets to other menu items, custom menu items (and rename them to "Featured"), why just "Featured"?
