Please help - TV Shows wont update. Link to tvdb.com incorrect
#1
Hi Guys

I have struggled endlessly now.
I have added a series folder with mixed series. I named it correct according to multiple sites.
I tried multiple naming formats, currenly using
Title.s01e01.ext

From the debug log I can see when querying tvdb.com the url contains the title + e01s01 information. When I type this into the browser it doesnt match anything.
The only time it worked correctly for a series is when the year was also in the title eg: Missing.2012.s01e01.ext. Then the query to tvdb contained only missing (2012) and not the rest of the info.
Why would it not scrape the title correctly for matching on tvdb?

Debug log.

This yields an emtpy result set.

When I add the series into its own folder, the name seems to identify correctly, but there must be a way for a folder with mixed series?

Nope - each TV Show requires its own folder and then the file within that (Season folders are optional providing the file name has a season and episode information eg C:\Users\bbdnet0561\Downloads\New\Test\Nikita\s03e06) for a correct scrape. Not sure I would want to go as embedded as that, not sure how low xbmc will search recursively, just a thought.
