Hi I bought a Zbox around 6 months ago and it seems to be running rather poor, I have windows 7 installed with xbmc also running Sickbeard, CouchPotatoe and Sabnzbd my setup is

2 x WD Elements 2TB external HD
Corsair 60GB SSD Nova series 2
2 X 4GB DDR3 RAM

Connected directly into router it just seems super slow sometimes and I'm wondering if Windows 7 was the right option or I should move to maybe Ubuntu

I use the same pc for xbmc. I would use openelec, the generic build. It runs very well... fast and reliable.

Thanks for the great reply, Do you run any services like Sickbeard on it or Samba?

Samba yes... No problem. Never used Sickbeard!
