But nothing happens when i try to play

Examine the debug log (wiki) after attempting to play the file to see why it did not work.

All of my Blurays are in ISO format and I've yet to have one that hasn't played. As the post above suggests, there is a cause why they're not playing.

Install AnyDVD HD and xbmc will play iso.
