Hello,

I'm using a tethered jailbroken ATV2 (iOS 5.2.1) with XBMC 12.2. Everything work great except the time !!!!

I've found many info, specially on that forum and I've tries many combination ... but time is still wrong by 40 minutes late on XBMC (I understand that the time in xbmc is taken from the ATV2 time).

Here is what I did from using ssh:

cd /var/db/timezone/
rm /var/db/timezone/localtime
ln -s /usr/share/zoneinfo/Europe/Paris localtime
killall AppleTV
date ---> Thu May 9 08:34:40 CEST 2013 !!!!!

date from my mac (Thu 9 May 2013 09:15:29 CEST)

does anyone ca suggest sth to fix that ? I guess there a stupid setting somewhere which is messing up everything.

Those instructions are not needed for ios > 4.3 iirc. You just need to set the timezone in the ATV2 time settings. Also make sure your atv2 has a proper internet connection so that it can sync up the time.
