how long ago is "the past"? Was it before we switched to a new forum? I can change your nickname if you want, but can't change the login behavior (I think).

as suspected those characters (<>) are not allowed in usernames in myBB - that's why they got converted. So the only option is to rename your account - please tell me how to rename.

The last time I logged in would have been at least last spring when I posed an update for my backrow anime mod to support the latest build. So the change was sometime after the start of 2012.

yes, so that was basically before the switch of the forum version IIRC. So, what's your preferred alternate nickname, as you unfortunately have to get rid of the <> unless you don't mind writing >< in future.
