Solution: Make sure the adapters are enabled ... :-|

Hi,

I have Tvheadend installed and configured, using the process described in my sig.

The PVR did work, but I wasn't interested in it at the time, and have disabled it. But, my interesting is up again, but now it is not enabled.

I have checked the plugin, and options in config are enabled, and can access the webUI and see all the channels - I can also see the channels in XBMC.

My problem now is when I click on a channel it says this:

Code:
May 19 00:03:55 black tag_xbmc_log: 00:03:54 T:2812222272    INFO: AddOnLog: Tvheadend HTSP Client: ParseSubscriptionStatus - status = 'No service enabled'
May 19 00:03:55 black tag_xbmc_log: 00:03:54 T:2812222272   DEBUG: CAddonCallbacksAddon - QueueNotification - Tvheadend HTSP Client - Info Message : 'No service enabled'
May 19 00:03:57 black tvheadend[1130]: Service: Subscription "127.0.0.1 [ xbmc | XBMC Media Center ]": Skipping "DiBcom 3000MC/P/Cambs & Beds: 522,000 kHz/BBC ONE" -- not enabled

Could any one assist please?

Additionally, I have a few details here about the card.

From dmesg:
[ 13.635166] dvb-usb: found a 'Hauppauge Nova-T 500 Dual DVB-T' in cold state, will try to load a firmware
[ 13.779105] dvb-usb: downloading firmware from file 'dvb-usb-dib0700-1.20.fw'

[ 15.710334] dvb-usb: Hauppauge Nova-T 500 Dual DVB-T successfully initialized and connected.

From Tvheadend webUI:

Hardware
Device path:
/dev/dvb/adapter1
Device name:
DiBcom 3000MC/P
Host connection:
USB (480 Mbit/s)
Frequency range:
48000 kHz - 860000 kHz, in steps of 62 kHz
Status
Currently tuned to:

Muxes:
57
Muxes awaiting initial scan:

Signal Strength:
0%
Bit Error Rate:

I notice the signal strength is 0% ...

Many thanks in advance,

Are you sure the channels and their corresponding service and mux are enabled in tvheadend?

The signal strength you see in the web interface will stay at 0% until you tune in to a channel.

There are many channels, I'm not sure how to tell if they're enabled or not?

I see now, they're all enabled.

Configuration -> DVB Inputs -> TV Adapters -> Multiplexes

It might be handy to list versions here too:

Bit of a bumping post ..

If no one is able to assist with this, perhaps someone could let me know how to remove all the config and start again?

It depends on your distro, but try /home/hts/.hts/tvheadend - stop the tvheadend service and rename the directories channels, dvbadapters, dvbmuxes and dvbtransports, then restart and it you should be back at year zero.

Before you do that, though, check that your adapter is enabled. It's also worth seeing if you can stream a channel directly from tvheadend without using XBMC (e.g. via the web interface or VLC), just to eliminate the addon.

Also, check that everything is mapped - adapters have multiplexes, which in turn carry services, which in turn are mapped to channels.

Thanks, I'll give that a go as a last resort.

How can I check the adapter is enabled?

All this looks okay - but I'm far from experienced with PVRs. There are lots of channels and ticked boxes, but what should I be looking for?
