Req Run custom script in Power Saving - Shutdown Function
#1
I'm using a Raspberry Pi running OpenELEC to stream content and watch LiveTV.
The Raspberry Pi's are installed in the bedrooms and are mostly used to watch LiveTV before going actually to sleep.
So the TV is set with a sleep timer to go in power saving mode and for the Raspberry Pi there is only the option to power it off because of system limitations
Powering off isn't an option for me since i also use the Pi to update shared library during the day and booting takes ages.
So if a user is using XBMC this way (with out the power off function enabled), 9 out of 10 times they are already sleeping which would then result in a constant LiveTV stream (or any other content) for nothing.
So my idea was to have a script that would stop all streams and jump back to homescreen (or what ever the end users wishes) so when the TV is powered on again i would have instant access to XBMC again.
The idea about this request is to use the XBMC System features/functions to have a better integration with other scripts/functions that make use of system power saving settings.

I hope it's clear what i'm trying to accomplish?
