I have a Pi to get my XBMC movies onto my TV in the bedroom - works perfectly for that, and my parents now have one to access the files on their NAS as the TV built in DLNA software was pretty poor....

They both came next day from CPC!

He's looking for 100 euro, so $129.46 USD. Biostar 847 (though on the site he linked the MSI C847 is cheaper) + 2GB + 16GB USB + cheap mini-ITX case with built-in PSU should come pretty close, maybe around $150 USD.
