Hi all, First time posting. I downloaded .26 from the MythTV [url=http://uploaded.net/file/0pa8pnee]http://uploaded.net/file/0pa8pnee
and the program will not install? What could I be doing wrong? Any other download sites you recommend?
I am running XBMC on WinXP if this helps.

Why not ask on the mythtv mailing list? That is where xbmc is supported.

MythTV (the backend part, that has the tuners and does the recordings) doesn't work very well on windows. It's more a prove of concept; most tuners are unsupported and since not many are using it, help from the community is limited as well.

The frontend (the graphical UI) however would work, but I guess you plan to use XBMC for this.

Therefore I'd recommend to read http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=PVR/Backend and use a PVR software that is supported on Windows.

Hi cfetzer, I did have NextPVR installed but my antivirus said
that ntray.exe was copying my key strokes could be fishing virus.
That is why i removed it and am trying Mythtv. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I am just guessing here, but ntray.exe was monitoring keystrokes looking to control your pvr.

Hi boblfoot, Never thought that could be mistaken as a virus/fishing virus.
Installed 7-zip and MythTV installed. My mistake.
