I am using an Apple TV 2 Connected to an Onkyo (HT - R560) stereo receiver via HDMI then HDMI to TV. I have the ATV2 audio settings set for HDMI, Stereo is configured properly, however I only get audio through my TV. Do I need to use optical cable? It should be working through Stereo ...NO? anyone with any thoughts?

Sounds like an issue with your receiver.

You need to tell your receiver to not just pass through the audio to the tv - but consum it itself...

I have no idea how to do that.
I have tried using aux, dvd, cd/dvd with setting set for corresponding HDMI.
These work fine if using another component, other than ATV2.
