i have been wondering if there would be a way to get the ip address shown on a front lcd. i think it could be very useful if you don't have a static ip set for a box. if this is already possible please just let me know how to do it but if it is not possible i doubt it would be very hard to do.

why not just goto system settings and check or modify the skin home to show it in the corner?

there is not much room left on the x3 lcd.... what would be nice is a clock on the lcd after you launch a game....
i guess that would be impossible though unless it ran like a game trainer continually updating the system time

clock after launching a game would not be likely... xbox is setup and limited to only one application at a time. you run a game xbmc is dumped from memory and the game goes. so there would be nothing to run the clock, watch when you run a game after a few minutes and see the text no longer scrolls
